New Year's Resolution

Happy New Year!

My new year resolution is a continuation of last year's.... (ugh). The good news is I lost 15 pounds in 2008. The bad news is I have a ways to go... this goal will get me to a BMI of 22.
Yep, that is a Wii! In addition to the running and the Nike+, I'm using the Wii for balance, coordination, and a little strength training. This thing also keeps track of my weight over time. It keeps me honest... after the balance board weighed me it plumped my "mii" up to the pic you see above. Nice...

You can't even miss a day of Wii training or it will put a major guilt trip on you. I'm afraid to turn mine on because I got some workout DVDs and I haven't been doing it. I know it's going to tell me "Welcome back, Valerie. I see you haven't been on for 67 days. I hope you know I think you're a loser and a big lazy butt."

Hubby and I both have our Miis in it but hubby doesn't care much about doing it. No joke, one day I started it up and it said, "Welcome Valerie. You know, I haven't seen David in a while. Is he suffering from mass depression or dead?" (Okay, so that last sentence isn't quite right, but I started typing that and couldn't remember exactly what the Wii Fit told me.)

I've noticed the Wii can be rather mean if I mess up too!

The Nike thingy I have on my blog isn't much better... she gets pretty grumpy if I haven't run in a few days.
